Technical Assistant

Description

General Description:
As an IT Technical Assistance, you will have the chance to work in a fast-paced and dynamic customer service environment. You will use your passion for IT to provide technical assistance to our employees, diagnose hardware and software issues, and troubleshoot problems. You will also have the opportunity to work on various technical projects that will expand your knowledge and allow you to grow and be challenged further.
Technical Support

  • Portal Access and Administration (company portals, Zywave, security system and various other software as needed)
  • Coordination of Onboarding and Offboarding Tasks
  • Technical Training for initial Onboarding
  • Secondary support to MSP (Managed Service Provider) to investigate user problems and identify their source.
  • Monitor MSP IT Tickets and provide reporting as required.
  • Asset Management
  • Procurement of IT related hardware/software
  • Assist MSP and Branch offices with service tickets when needed.
  • Detection of potential major incidents and problems.
  • Maintenance of security awareness program.
  • Broker Management System administration including the adding and disabling of users.
  • Avaya Phone System administration
  • Monitor Email Quarantine
  • Contribute to implementing formalized processes and IT documentation.
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Assist with various IT projects and implementations.
Team Support

  • Attend and participate in Team meetings, general staff meetings and company functions.
Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of setting up hardware and software
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Excel Macros functions and Access would be an asset
  • Preference to M365 and Azure experience
  • Information Technology practical experience an asset, but not required
  • Information Technology education or ITIL certifications an asset
  • Experience with broker management systems (i.e. TAM, Epic, Acturis) would be an asset
  • Experience with Insurance would be an asset
  • High attention to detail and comfortable with a fast paced and growing organization

Compensation

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
